Access and ASL: Our Approach

Victori Violet stumbled into leadership in Deaf/ASL Accessibility and Advocacy programs on accident! That's just what happens when you have an inquisitive nature and go the extra mile to make sure your friend's needs are being met. She was mentored by Deaf colleagues in Lucidity Festival from 2017- 2023. Having since co-produced (always with a Deaf mentor/counter-part) American Sign Language and Deaf advocacy programs at multiple festivals including Lucidity Festival, Envision Festival, Flow Fest Seattle, Joshua Tree Music Festival, and Kindle NW Fire Festival. Her motto is that Accessibility is a Creative Community Art form and should include all members of a group in the process of assessing and accommodating accessibility for all to be involved. We prioritize diverse hiring to have culturally relevant and fitting interpreters providing accessibility, including LGBTQ, BIPOC and Deaf Interpreters every chance we can!
